Rosyth Castle

Until the early 20th Century, Rosyth Castle was almost completely surrounded by the sea. Now, it is a slightly incongruous sight, surrounded as it is by the naval dockyards and industrial buildings, which were built on land reclaimed from the sea. The castle consists of a tower house and courtyard, largely dating from the late 15th century. It's not normally possible to access the interior of the tower house.
